Sitting at work with my laptop and guitar just trying to learn more “top 40” songs for my gig tonight. I like playing these kinds of shows because I get to play songs I normally wouldn’t while also playing my own songs.

Stream our new song Snack Attack right now! And be sure to check out this lovely write-up from NYLON MAGAZINE, who premiered the song just yesterday! Our new LP You’re Always On My Mind comes out July 2nd on Topshelf Records! Sharezies!
This song is great. I can’t wait for this new album. It’ll be an early birthday present to myself and perfect for my drive down to Florida on July 6th.

The Wonder Years - “The Devil In My Bloodstream”
And so I searched through my great-grandpa’s memoirs
For the devil in my bloodstream
Depression grabbed his throat and
Choked the life out of him slowly
I got the same blood coursing through my veins
It’ll come for me eventually

I need to come up with a set list for tonight… Do I play some new stuff that I haven’t played live yet, or stuff from the EP and full length with a few covers? Decisions decisions. I also completely exhausted.

The Last Royals - Crystal Vases
I discovered these guys today while listening to the Pandora on the Fake Problems station. They were known as The Early Hours on there, but I managed to hunt them down. Hands down my favorite band I’ve discovered so far this year. Now they just need to release their album on vinyl.

Due to there not being any Internet at the house the song is again postponed. However, if the Internet comes back today (which I hope it does) I’ll be releasing it tonight. This is really frustrating. Fucking technology.

Due to many events I have to post pone what I had planned for today. I’m now aiming for this weekend (Saturday) to release my first song. So why isn’t it being released today? Between work, program crashes that erased everything for the song, and a wide Internet outage right now (I’m updating from…

If you’re one to still buy music, be sure to go out today, or at some point, and pick up the new Fall Out Boy album, Save Rock and Roll. I know it’s not for everyone, but I really enjoy it and it’s meant to be played loud with the windows down. It’s a great pop album.

Demoing new song ideas is becoming exhausting. I like where the songs are headed, I’m just getting tired of hearing the same drum beat over and over on a loop and adding new instruments into the arrangement. Tomorrow I’ll try to lay down some melodies and see what I can write for it.

Fall Out Boy - “Where Did The Party Go”
And all the boys are smoking menthols
Girls are getting back rubs
I will appear to you if you if you make yourself shake fast enough
My old aches become new again
My old friends become exes again

The time has come for an official Tumblr launch for my music. First off let me start this thing by introducing myself. My name is Trevor John and I’m a singer songwriter in Dawsonville Georgia. I left my “home” of Florida mid February and have spent my time writing and recording what will be a…
Go follow this. Officially launched my Tumblr for my music.

The Front Bottoms | Twin Sized Mattress
This is for the lions living in the wiry broke down frames of my friends bodies.
When the flood water comes, it ain’t gonna be clear. It’s gonna look like mud.
But I will help you swim.
I will help you swim.
I’m gonna help you swim.
This is for the snakes and the people they bite;
For the friends I’ve made; for the sleepless nights;
For the warning signs I’ve completely ignored.
There’s an amount to take, reasons to take more.
It’s no big surprise you turned out this way.
When they close their eyes and prayed you would change
And they cut your hair, and sent you away
You stopped by my house the night you escaped
With tears in my eyes, I begged you to stay
You said, “Hey man, I love you but no fucking way”
I’m sure that we could find something for you to do on stage.
Maybe shake a tambourine or when I sing, you sing harmonies.
This is for the lake that me and my friends swim in, naked and dumb on a drunken night
And it should’ve felt good but I can hear the Jaws theme song on repeat in the back of my mind
Make sure you kiss your knuckles before you punch me in the face
There are lessons to be learned, consequences for all the stupid things I say
And it is no big surprise you turned out this way.
The spark in her eyes, The look on your face.
I will not be late.
I’m sure we could find something for you to do on stage.
Maybe shake a tambourine or when I sing you sing harmonies.
I wanna contribute to the chaos.
I don’t wanna watch and then complain,
‘Cause I am through finding blame
That is the decision that I have made.
She hopes I’m cursed forever to
Sleep on a twin-sized mattress
In somebody’s attic or basement my whole life,
Never graduating up in size to add another
And my nightmares will have nightmares every night
Oh, every night. Every night.
